Upon arriving in Hluhluwe, we were given a plan to visit at least 10 schools over the coming two weeks. The goal was to distribute as many laptops as possible while teaching learners basic computer literacy.
On Monday, we met with the Star for Life team to plan the weeks ahead and then prepared the 24 laptops we had brought with us. The following day, we visited our first school and held our first computer literacy session. The learners were eager to learn, and the session went very well. Once back at the office, the remaining 300 laptops had arrived, and we began preparing for the next donations.
Throughout the week, we visited several schools, donating laptops and holding computer literacy sessions. The teachers and learners were incredibly excited to receive the laptops, many of which they had been looking forward to for a long time.
It was truly rewarding to see their excitement and happiness. After a busy and inspiring first week, we are now preparing for the next round of school visits and looking forward to what the coming week will bring!
